The time is finally here…Reopening Day! Pittsburgh will move into the ” Green ” phase Friday June 5th and salons will officially be allowed to reopen.
We are all beyond excited to open our doors and welcome our guests back into the salon but we want to do so SAFELY . This means we will have to adhere to a new set of guidelines to ensure the safety of our clients as well as our staff! Some things to expect during your next appointment at LAB….
Scheduling – This will be slightly different as we now have to ensure enough time and space between clients. Gone are the days of double booking and squeezing clients in. Appointments will be spaced out to ensure time to sanitize and prep between clients.
Arrival – For the time being we are asking clients to wait for us in their vehicle until the client before them has left and our team has cleaned and sanitized any and all shared spaces. Depending on your preferred method our front desk will text or call you when it is safe to come into the salon. Until we do so please wait for us in your car.
Guests- Due to capacity restrictions we are not allowing anyone outside of our scheduled clients in the salon. For our other clients safety as well as our own, clients are unable to bring spouses, children, friends, or family with them to their appointments.
Masks- This seems to be a tough one. We understand some people are not comfortable without them while others do not feel comfortable wearing them. Our stylist will be wearing masks during your appointments and we do kindly ask our clients to as well if they are comfortable. Other guests will be in the salon as well and we want to do everything we can to make everyone feel safe and ensure best practices are kept.
Hand Washing- This is the biggest must for us at LAB. Once arriving for your appointment we ask that you set your belongings down and wash your hands before starting your appointment. We will also have hand sanitizer available as well for during your appointments.
Amenities- For the time being we will not offer drinks. We will provide water for those clients who want to bring in a reusable water bottle.
Belongings – Limiting the amount of outside belongings in the salon will help us keep a clean and sanitized work area. Please do your best to keep personal items to a minimum. Only bring in what is absolutely necessary.
Honesty- This is important to us! Please let us know if you feel you have been exposed or have had any symptoms in the past two weeks. Without honesty we can not ensure we are keeping our clients and ourselves safe. A client intake form will be emailed out before your scheduled appointment.
